What is CYLTE?
CYLTE is layered. It plays on "silt," the fine desert sediment that shapes entire landscapes over time. It's also an acronym: Creation. Yields. Life. That's. Eternal. But beyond definitions, CYLTE is a love note to the Sonoran Desert and the Arizona way of life.
To me, CYLTE is memory in motion: leaving the East Coast for Tempe, AZ, and getting pulled into desert nights and a completely new rhythm of life. It's my first Opuntia cactus, realizing something can grow new life from what looks like nothing. It's a reorientation of how I see God's creation: the desert has a richness you don't fully understand until you live in it.
